Ncoll Construction is fully committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment. We are committed to ensuring that our Health and Safety Policy is fully implemented and reviewed and our priority is to eliminate or minimize any possible risk that might affect our employees and subcontractors or those who are indirectly or directly involved in our activities.

 

It is our policy to comply with the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005, the Construction Safety, Health & Welfare at Work Regulations 2006, the General Applications Regulations 2007 and the associated legislation where appropriate.

 

Our commitment is proven through:

  •  Health and Safety Record
  •  reviewed Training and Education Policy for all employees
  • On-going consultation with management and employees regarding Health and Safety
  • We employ an external Health and Safety Consultant to do unannounced independent site safety inspections to ensure standards are maintained

 

At NColl Construction Ltd we will take all reasonable steps to secure and maintain the health, safety and welfare of all employees, contractors, clients and members of the public who may be affected by our activities. As a management team our objective is to maximise the wellbeing of each employee and their potential to contribute to the development of the company and ensure compliance with Legislation, Approved Codes of Practice and Guidelines relevant to our operations. It is our policy and overall aim to educate each employee in safe working practices and through this education it is envisaged that the employees will work in a safe manner whether or not immediate supervision is present.

 

Safety is a core company value and safe working is an integral part of how we plan, organise and undertake our business activities and operations. To this end NColl Construction Ltd is committed to providing:

 

  • A safe place of work and healthy working environment for all our employees.
  • Safe means of access and egress to and from the workplace.
  • Safe plant, machinery and equipment necessary to carry out work safely.
  • Safe systems of work, whereby all tasks are carried out in a safe manner.
  • Relevant information, instruction, training and supervision for all employees in order that they can carry out their tasks in a safe manner with no danger to themselves or others who may be affected by their work.
  • A safety management system to manage health & safety in the workplace and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Suitable personal protective equipment and clothing necessary, where hazards cannot be eliminated, for employees to carry out their work in a safe manner.
  • Systems for the identification of workplace hazards, assessment of risks arising and the implementation of suitable controls.
  • Safe arrangements for the use, handling, storage and transport of articles and substances.
  • Sufficient consultation, information, training and supervision to enable employees to carry out their work safely, without risk to themselves or others.
  • Appropriate welfare facilities

 

Our goal is to eliminate all accidents and potential hazards and reach an objective of zero injuries. Achieving this will require the full understanding of everyone in the organisation of their safety responsibilities and their commitment to fostering a proactive safety culture, based on a duty of care for oneself, ones co-workers and members of the public. The responsibility for safety in NColl Construction Ltd proceeds from the board of management through to each supervisor and on to each member of staff. It is the responsibility of management to ensure that all employees are motivated to comply with the safety policies and procedures and that they are made aware of those policies. Management must be kept fully informed of the impact that activities under its control have on safety policy and to take corrective action as appropriate. Equally all employees have a legal responsibility to co-operate in implementing the safety policies and standards as required by the safety management system.

We are currently working on independent accreditation for I.S. EN ISO 18001

Quality & Environmental

Ncoll Construction strives to lead the way in quality building and maintain our reputation for excellence, quality and reliability. It is our policy to ensure our clients are provided with flawless projects of the highest quality within budget and on time, still meeting the required specification as agreed in the contract.

We are fully are fully aware of our environmental obligations. We are industry leaders by minimizing the impact of our activities on the environment.  Where there is an opportunity we choose recycled and sustainable products. It is our policy to comply with the Environmental Protection Agency Act, 1992, the Waste Management Acts 1996 and 2001 and the regulations made under these acts therefore we comply with EU requirements.

 

Ncoll construction Ltd is fully committed to our Quality & Environmental Management System and its continuous improvement.

 

Management are also committed to identifying and meeting the requirements of their customers, an important factor which will determine the growth and the future prosperity of the Company.

 

In order to achieve this, Ncoll construction will;

  • Provide our customers with high quality construction projects that ensure their requirements are met.
  • Establish specific and measurable quality objectives and targets and ensure these are monitored and reviewed as an integral part of our continuous improvement programme.
  • Make firm commitments to our customers for on time delivery of projects – and meet these commitments.
  • Ensure our quality & environmental policy is communicated and understood by all personnel at Ncoll construction and its contractors and suppliers.
  • Ensure our quality & environmental policy is regularly reviewed for continuous suitability to meet all customer requirements.
  • Ensure that, through an integrated management approach, we will complete all projects in a safe manner while protecting the environment and preventing pollution.
  • Ensure a program of efficient use of resources and waste minimisation, always reviewing our objectives and targets.  All necessary training and resources will be made available to achieve these goals.
  • Using Effective Environmental Management System aspects this will ensure our compliance with applicable legal and other requirements to which Ncoll construction subscribes.
  • Achieve and demonstrate solid environmental performance by controlling the impact of its activities, products and services on the environment. Related areas include: Emissions to Air, Releases to Water, Waste Management, Use of Raw Material, Energy Consumption & Safer Working Environment.

 

We are currently working on independent accreditation that our Quality & Environmental Management System conforms to the requirements of I.S. EN ISO 9001 : 2008 & I.S. EN ISO 14001: 2004
